Daft Punk
3D modeled cover for the album “Random Access Memories”.

Challenge
Generate an alternative cover of a musical group entirely in 3D.
Based on the artist, their style and work I was asked to create an alternative cover of one their albums.
Product
A fully 3D generated cover for the album “Random Access Memories” by the famous French DJ's duo and producers “Daft Punk”.
Design
Generated the design using their iconic helmets using as reference their album “Random Access Memories” by simulating the generation of the helmets through random memories.
3D Modeling
Modeled both of the Daft Punk members helmets, set the lightning, generated the textures and produced the final renders.
Topology
To achieve the right topology and design of these helmets the development process was a dance between Maya and Z-Brush.
Final renders
Generating the textures for the silver, gold and base grey was crucial for the realistic feel. Setting the lighting and the scenario to get unique reflections was a complete challenge, but it was worth it for the renders to be perfect.
