SafeRoom

A secure, customizable and private communication platform that works like an instant messenger.

Challenge

SafeRoom is a startup that entrusted me his product a customizable private communication platform. Working on creating the new SafeRoom mobile app is such an honor, but also a big responsibly. The goal was to create the new Saferoom mobile app.

When working in a customizable messaging platform the big challenge is to have a unique visual identity that fit multiple companies but also following universal conventions and interactions for users to feel comfortable and familiar environment.

Also innovating and powering up the users daily interactions by adding new features and functionalities to this messaging platform it's been a great opportunity and satisfaction.

Product

A secure, customizable and private communication platform that works like an instant messenger. (iOS, Android and Web)

Design

Lead the design for the visual identity, user experiences and interfaces for the new “SafeRoom” mobile app, admin tool, company's website and communication channels.

Created the logo, design system, flowcharts, journeys, navigation maps, use cases, wireframes, hi-fi prototypes and UI animations, for Saferoom's different digital products.

Development

Developed several sections of the company's website, admin tool, onboarding and mailing.

Logotype and visual identity

Created the logotype and visual identity of a military-grade encrypted messaging app, using as inspiration the “army camo” resulting in a chat bubble protecting, camouflaging and encrypting everything that happens in a “SafeRoom” inside the SafeRoom app.

A product that fit multiple companies

A customizable product means that I needed to approach the design in a sober but unique way, and to carefully design a platform that fit with multiple companies identity, ideals, logo and colors.

Components designed for multiple scenarios

SafeRoom's components can be used and reused in multiple scenarios. Understanding the building process in the front-end was crucial to fulfill this goal.

Admin tool

SafeRoom deserved a top class admin tool for companies to manage their teams, track the usage, access their account and customize the look and feel of the whole platform.
